Getting Ready!

Prep Time! A few things to help you or your kiddo get ready!

REMINDER: the info I need from each student for their journals is due by Tues 1/27. They should email it to me.

1) Mosquitoes! As you know those little suckers can carry many diseases; so in order to ward them off, please make sure a Deet stick, spray or repellent bracelets are packed. Also, (& take this for what it's worth) - I've read in both of my CR travel guides that taking a vitamin B12 supplement for at least 10 days prior to departure will help in keeping mosquitoes away from your skin! I also read that eating garlic could do that too - while they are blood-sucking, I'm wondering if these reports weren't confused with vampire lore! Either way garlic and vitamins shouldn't hurt! ;)

2) Flight Itinerary:
US 1707 11FEB2015 CLT 11:25A SJO 2:30P
US 1706 17FEB2015 SJO 3:35P CLT 8:45P
Please arrive at the airport at 8:30 AM on Feb. 11 - we will check in as a group once all participants have arrived.

3) Fun Article about CR!
16 things about CR

Finally, this blog will be used to update you all at home on what we are doing each day. I will post pics and updates at the END of each day there.
