Packing List

***WHAT TO PACK***

Passport – *Must have a least 3 months of validity AFTER return date. *Students traveling without a parent will be asked to give their passport to a chaperone.
Passport/money belt or neck pouch
Spending $$ (for shopping, water, snacks & some meals)
Secure purse that can go across the chest or a small, lightweight backpack
Change of clothing in case checked bag is delayed
Gels/liquids limited to 3 oz each and must fit into ONE clear quart-sized zip bag
Prescription medication in original bottles with your name on it
Book or magazines for down time / plane ride
iPod or other music device only
Camera & batteries & charger
Snacks – not liquid, but packaged
Journal, Pen & Pencils (mechanical)
Chargers / Adapters
Travel Alarm (or phone?)
Travel size Umbrella or lightweight poncho
Comfortable clothing – active wear, light-weight shorts or pants that dry quickly (NO jeans)
Tennis shoes or hiking sandals (2 pairs a least)
Sports sandals or Water shoes (for outdoor water activities)
Flip Flops (for shower & beach)
Hat or bandana to cover hair when hiking, ziplining, etc.
Swimsuit that you can move well and play in or swim-shorts & quick-dry tank top
Sunglasses
Contact lens/glasses
Sunscreen!!
Anti-mosquito bracelets or wipes & Deet roll-on stick (The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends using formulations containing 30% or less Deet on children)
Deodorant
Wet Wipes or 3 oz. liquid sanitizer
Pepto Bismol tablets, Tylenol, and other medication you may need for motion sickness, stomach issues, etc.
Feminine hygiene products
Plastic bags (for wet/dirty clothes & souvenirs home)
Empty soft bag for any souvenirs you may want to bring back


**Limit yourself to a small suitcase with wheels or large backpack (see airline website for luggage restrictions)
Best rule of thumb: PACK LIGHT & Do not pack it if you can’t carry it yourself!
**Students are NOT allowed to bring a computer, tablet, or video games**
